Henry Green releases new album 'Familiarity'

Henry Green's highly anticipated album, Familiarity is out now via Akira Records. Spread across 11 tracks of luscious beats, Henry takes us through an unforgettable sonic experience enriched with lyrical substance.

Familiarity is a deep dive into the feeling of belonging, constantly questioning what gives us purpose, comfort and peace. With his signature blend of organic and electronic elements and an impressive range of collaborators, Henry’s intimate vocals float effortlessly across.

When asked about the focus track ‘Images’ Henry Green explained,

“Like quite a few of the ideas from this time, Images was a beat built around a sample. As most songs progressed, the original sample would fall away and be replaced by other elements but with Images, it always felt like those chops were integral to the idea. The song, ’Image’ by Brian Bennett, has these beautiful harp movements and flute/horn swells in the intro, and I found myself building a world around these elements. The track didn’t feel like it needed a structured vocal as per say, but my friend Parra for Cuva had a play with a few vocal chops and then eventually, doubled these up with the beautiful ASFY choir. The song felt like a breath of fresh air."
