Pablo Nouvelle

Swiss producer, DJ and composer Pablo Nouvelle first gained international attention in 2012 with his self-released and self-titled album, described as “essential listening” by MixMag. Nouvelle’s EP ‘You Don’t Understand’ followed, released via taste-maker label Black Butter Records. The release of ‘All I Need’ via Armada Records saw Nouvelle and his band tour across Europe, playing over 150 shows in 11 countries.

Pablo Nouvelle’s most recent releases include EP Manor House, a collaboration with Iskra Strings, single Tristeza, Mar Sem Fim, and two singles from the upcoming EP Dime, Countdown and Dime with Emy Perez.
Other releases from 2020 and beyond include OBSOLETE - a considered and riveting new chapter – deftly exploring mankind’s non-sustainable way of living and the universal urge to escape, Atlas Internet Cafe; a 7-piece album of downtempo electronica which flirts with its creator’s trip-hop roots, and Eliso; an Afrobeat-inspired EP which Nouvelle built on the foundations of extracts from Hugh Tracey’s extensive library of ‘African field recordings’, which looks to reinvigorate traditional African culture for a modern audience, as well as teaming up with Grammy Award Winner Angélique Kidjo on lead single ‘Milambi’.

2019 saw the release of ‘Piano Pieces’, a selection of 7 minimalist compositions for solo piano, takes inspiration from a journey through Morocco. “The simplicity of composing pieces using only the piano has something honest to it. I wanted to draw a drastic contrast to this short-living world, drowning in hate and plastic. My journey to Zaouiat Ahansal – a hidden village in a remote valley in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and only accessible by foot or mule – inspired the idea of this plain tranquility.”

Pablo Nouvelle has established himself as a prolific remixer and producer, having worked with the likes of Anne-Marie, Aurora, Gorgon City, Jessie Reyez, Josef Salvat and Marina & the Diamonds. Furthermore, he is an acclaimed animator with three award-sinning short films to his name. ‘In A Nutshell’, his latest, was longlisted for an Oscar.
